Activ Foundation, the largest disability support provider in Western Australia has been using Isuzu trucks now for more than 20 years.
The organisation has several Property Care teams with the Perth operation using two NLS 200 crew cabs, two NPR 250 crew cabs, and three NNR 200 crew cabs. An additional eight Isuzu vehicles are also operated by this team in the South-West.
The Activ Foundation provides individualised services for people living with disability and their families. Services include accommodation, employment, training and education, respite, and community activities. The organisation was founded in 1951 by a group of families wanting more for their children who lived with disability and had become marginalised by society.
Today, it supports more than 2,000 individuals and their families across WA. The Property Care division was created after the organisation identified a need for services, such as window-cleaning and line marking, and saw the employment opportunities this could bring its members. Today, the Activ Property Care team comprises more than 100 people living with a disability, providing services such as lawn mowing, grounds keeping, commercial grounds maintenance and general maintenance services, in the Perth Metropolitan area and the south-west area of WA.
Some of the trucks have been serving their crews for the last 10 years. From Major Motor’s point of view we have been delighted to have a wonderful relationship with this very worthwhile organisation. We’re delighted to have them as a client and it gives us great satisfaction to be the source of the Activ Property Care team’s vehicles of choice.
