To mark the day, Isuzu UTE Australia (IUA) bolstered its support of the charity, by way of providing an additional fleet of three Isuzu MU-X SUV’s.
IUA has supplied the foundation with the vehicles - all finished in Red which is the signature colour of the Foundation.
Since 2013, IUA has supported the Daniel Morcombe Foundation, not only by participating in fundraising events but also by providing an Isuzu MU-X to Foundation founders—Bruce and Denise Morcombe—to assist them in delivering their safety curriculum to children across schools around Australia.
The day is held in remembrance of Daniel Morcombe who tragically disappeared when on his way home from school. It is aimed at being a national day of awareness, dedicated to advocating child safety and protection awareness programs across schools and communities nationwide.
Participants are encouraged to wear red in solidarity, showing support and driving awareness and fundraising for child safety.
Denise Morcombe, co-founder of the Daniel Morcombe Foundation said the Day for Daniel is incredibly significant to Bruce, her husband and herself. It’s a day of both reflection and advocacy, and each year we are humbled by the united support of the communities involved,” she added.
As Australia’s largest child safety campaign, ‘Day for Daniel’, through education, advocacy and initiatives help empower children to Recognise, React and Report situations where they feel threatened.
