Quickaway Excavations is owned and operated by Pat Mullins, who for many years has been identified with the red trucks around town.
Pat is one of those people who is passionate about what he takes on, so it is not surprising that over 28 years, Quickaway Excavations has grown from an operation of one truck and a digger, to now having a team of people operating 11 trucks and a massive array of equipment and machinery.
The company was established in 1992, and is based in Lancaster Road, Wangara.
Two new Isuzu trucks were added to the fleet just this year. (155 Isuzu Tip Truck and 190 Isuzu Tray Top).
The business works predominantly with one of the large utility companies in Perth, carrying out planned works for the utilitiy company and also after hours/ emergency works 24 hours a day/7 days a week. Quickaway has the motto “anywhere, anytime, on time” and strives to uphold this standard. In order to facilitate this service - reliable, quality trucks are required.
Quickaway operates in the Perth metropolitan area, plus regional areas such as Geraldton, Kalgoorlie, Albany etc., and as there’s rarely a dull moment of inactivity, good reliable trucks are essential to the delivery of this service.
Additional to this, Quickaway also offers plant and operator hire, crane hire, earthworks, and the installation of substations, earthing works and underground utilities.
Pat is knowledgeable about trucks, having worked with many different makes over the years both in Australia and in Europe. He considers Isuzu trucks to be by far the best small to medium trucks in the market place today. Especially when aligned with the outstanding back up service from Major Motors.
Pat is extremely loyal to those who he says have over the years given him great service – speaking very highly of our sales manager, Mr. Peter Dewar and our Managing Director, Mr. Bob Pearce who he says has a memory extraordinaire. Both these men have an ‘open door’ policy with their customers whom they remember by name and are always available to offer support, dependable service and good honest advice.
We could counter that Pat is a most memorable fellow – very hard to forget, a great client who through giving his customers an outstanding level of service has built a business that has well and truly made its mark in WA.
