Cricket Major Motors style

When do things become really serious in the Major Motors camp?

It’s when the ‘inter branch indoor cricket tournament’ takes place.

Held as a night match,  two eight-man teams fronted up – the ‘Lakers’  looking resplendent in specially printed T-shirts from the Bibra Lake branch and the somewhat less than impressive looking group from the Forrestfield branch.

The Forrestfield team of Pete, Danny, Richard, Matt, Dave, Dennis, Keaton and Themba were sent into bat first and after 16 overs had scored core 123 runs.

The Lakers comprising Daniel, Michael, Grant, Aaron, Sparky Dan, Brett, Cameron and Ray followed and after their 16 overs scored 121 – just two runs short of Forrestfield’s innings so the less than resplendent Forrestfielders were declared the winners.

Best player deemed for the Lakers was Sparky Dan while best player for the Forrestfielders was undoubtedly the umpire.
