Bob's Foreward

Welcome to newsletter number three in our challenging 2020 year.

How fortunate are we to be in WA rather than the rest of Australia or the rest of the world for that matter”.

While things are far from their best for business, the consolation of course is that in this horrendous Covid 19 period they could be spectacularly worse.

One of the good things happening in our local economy is that property sales rose quite spectacularly in June and July, especially in land sales which is an indication that there is going to be quite a lot of home building in the relatively near future.

That’s good for a lot of businesses and while not everyone is going to benefit directly, there should be positives from this industry sector percolating through other sectors of the economy.

Despite the challenges of 2020 it is good to see that Isuzu hasn’t stood still.

They’ve released a new model series - the NMR which we’re confident of being a winner as it has features that will really suit those in the building industry – as well as quite a few others.

We really like the fact that Isuzu is producing more and more models that require a simple car driver’s licence to drive them. This has helped introduce light trucks to a large range of business people who previously would never have considered buying a truck.

The response of trades people to having a light truck rather than a ute with trailer has not just been quite considerable – but their enthusiasm for the change after they have made the purchase has been great to hear.

So I guess you could say: ’trucks are in’ – at present - more than they’ve ever been.

Good luck with your business. We wish you every success and don’t forget if there is some way we can help, please feel welcome to reach out.
